Jwalt could be Bay Area’s next Hip-Hop star with this stunning visual for “The Taking.”

Rising hip-hop artist Jwalt releases his highly anticipated music video for single, “The Taking”. The stunning visual was directed by KZA (Joey Bada$$, Moneybaggyo) and executive produced by Shade45’s Sway Calloway and Creative Theory Management.

The rapper, author, poet was described by Mistah F.A.B. as the “the next Bay Area artist to break”. “The Taking” is an electrifying music video that expands a growing catalog of dynamic rap anthems.

Jwalt collaborated with friends and classmates a part of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts to produce this visual masterpiece. He raps, “It’s crazy they look at the gram / and they see what I done and / they think that I made it,” which indicates his commitment to achieve rap dominance.

“The Taking” also highlights Jwalt’s artistic growth in comparison to previous visuals for “Where You Been” and “Fade Away”. Jwalt’s Bay Area cool will captivate viewers as he rhymes at various iconic New York City landmarks with his east coast crew. “We really wanted to intersect my Bay Area roots with NYC culture in this video. Everything came out dope,” he says.

Jwalt’s verbal onslaughts have been featured in ESPN for NBA Countdown and Sway in the Morning’s Friday Fire Cypher. Ahead of the release of his debut album Yours Truly, Jwalt shared a mini-documentary HERE about his monumental performance with rap icons Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Dave East, and Too Short at the Oakland Arena before the coronavirus pandemic halted live music.

“I want to take the game over,” declared Jwalt, “It’s the Bay to the universe,” he added at a private screening of “The Taking” on May 10th in New York City.
