New York’s most lyrical and D.C.’s grimiest unite in new video for “Vyrus Life.” Captured in stark night-time visuals by Revenxnt (fresh off directing Westside Gunn’s “Julia Lang” video) the duo of Rome Streetz & ANKHLEJOHN unleash a prolific string of bars.
Somber instrumental backdrop is provided by Chop La Rok and Rare Scrilla who have previously laced tracks for such notables as Nipsey Hussle, Roc Marciano, Killer Mike General Steele (Smif-N-Wessun), Reef The Lost Cauze and William Cooper (Black Market Millitia).
“Vyrus Life” appears on the full-length Rome & ANKH collaboration Genesis 1:27 produced entirely by Chop & Rare and is available for digital purchase now (link below) with vinyl and NFT version’s soon to follow.
Rome Streetz has been releasing non-stop heat over the past year, which in addition to his own releases includes being featured on Westside Gunn’s Flygod Is An Awesome God 2 album, Conway The Machine and Big Ghost LTD’s If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed and just released a full-collaborative album with DJ Muggs entitled Death & The Magician. He has just announced dates on both coasts for his first national tour since the pandemic began (The Audio Narcotic Tour) this summer.
ANKHLEJOHN as well has been making big moves during the quarantine as well including a collaborative album with producer / emcee Navy Blue (Earl Sweatshirt, Mach Hommy) entitled As Above So Below as well as an group EP alongside Da$h and Sauce Heist entirely produced by V Don entitled Too Late 4 Tearz.
