2020 Jaguar F-TYPE Checkered Flag Limited Edition

Today, Jaguar announced the addition of a new Checkered Flag Limited Edition model to the 2020 F-TYPE range to celebrate the brand’s rich sports car heritage. Based on the Jaguar F-TYPE R-Dynamic Coupe and Convertible, and available with a 296-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or the 380-horsepower 3.0-liter supercharged V6 , the Checkered Flag LE features a range of subtle visual enhancements to the exterior and to the driver-focused “1+1” cabin. Both offer an outstanding balance of responsiveness and power – and a visceral soundtrack which reflects the truly driver-focused character of the Jaguar F-TYPE – and are matched to 8-speed Quickshift transmissions.

Highlights include a Black Contrast roof on the Coupe and a luxurious Windsor Leather interior featuring performance seats with embossed headrests, a Dark Brushed Aluminum center console trim finisher and – in recognition of the Jaguar brand’s motorsport successes – a steering wheel with a discrete Checkered Flag logo and red leather band to mark the 12 o’clock position.

The exquisite, perfectly-proportioned exterior of the F-TYPE is enhanced by the Exterior Black Design Pack, equipped as standard on the Checkered Flag Limited Edition, which benefits from extended side sills to subtly increase visual width and give the car an even greater presence and poise. The 20-inch Gloss Black wheels are exclusive to the Checkered Flag Limited Edition model and complement the red finish of the brake calipers. The model’s superbly-crafted Ebony Windsor Leather interior is offered with contrast stitching in a choice of Red or Cirrus. The slimline Performance seats, with optional heated and cooling functionality, feature headrests embossed with Checkered Flag branding.

In place of the Delta aluminum center console trim, typically equipped on F-TYPE R-Dynamic models, the Checkered Flag Limited Edition features a Dark Brushed Aluminum finisher. The texture and finish of this material perfectly complements the Ebony Windsor Leather.

The standard Jaguar InControl Touch Pro infotainment system features Meridian audio, a suite of connected services and, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard to make it easier than ever to access tailored smartphone apps using the 10-inch touchscreen.

2020 MY F-TYPE CORE LINE-UP

Since its launch in 2012, the Jaguar F-TYPE has established itself as a key competitor in the sport car segment, winning more than 170 global awards. For the 2020 model year, the core F-TYPE model line-up receives a number of updates including simplification of the model range and the introduction of the Checkered Flag Limited Edition model. Two all new exterior paint colors are now on offer – Eiger Grey and Portofino Blue, and the standard equipment list is enhanced by the standardization of popular features such as Smartphone Pack (which contains Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and Front Parking Aid5.
